We believe in loving God and loving others.
Jesus told us the most important thing is to love God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength, and second to that is to love others as we love ourselves. We believe that as our relationship deepens with God, we are given the grace to live in this way. Everything we do flows from these two commandments.
We believe the gospel is not just for Sundays.
An intentional faith and relationship with God has us living in the moment. We believe that God wants us to be a part of His story every moment of every day. Why should “church service” be a specific time and place rather than a way of life lived by like-minded believers?
As a church on its way to go the typical path of buying a bigger building to fit more people in it one day a week, we stepped out in faith on this belief, sold everything and bought a community center. Our humble church of less than 100 people serves over 600 people from the surrounding community every day.
We believe the Church is made of people, not bricks.
A church is not a building to attend, but a community of like-minded believers, playing a part in each other’s stories. 2 Corinthians 3:3 tells us that our stories are written by the Spirit of God on our hearts. We believe that God is writing an Epic story in each of our lives, and knitting that story together as a Church.
We believe the Church is family.
Sharing meals together, our stories, our pain, our laughter—these are all things that Epic believes in. We are a family—sure things can get messy, but we are all working together with a common goal, and accept each other as brothers and sisters in Christ.
