Over the past year, this space has been a place to find resources and hopefully to be encouraged to care for yourself and seek holistic wellness. We haven’t touched much on the topic of physical wellness yet, other than rest and play last summer.
In many circles, when the topic of wellness comes up, it usually refers to physical wellness. However, it seems that in some Christian circles when wellness is addressed, it’s referring to spiritual wellness. We do ourselves a disservice by separating these things. We are holistic beings. And, as we know, there are many aspects of life that contribute to our soul’s overall wellbeing. If one area is out of alignment or lacking the attention it needs, most likely you’re feeling the consequences of that in other areas of your life as well.
So, this month, we want to encourage you and remind you of our call to care well for these vessels of flesh and bone that we’ve been given. Rest, play, be active, drink lots of water, and enjoy the gift of homemade food. We know this is not an easy task! Maybe this month there’s just one small step you sense God inviting you to take. Maybe it’s to try one of the following recipes!
With your help, we’ve collected a number of (mostly) healthy recipes to inspire you with some (maybe new) dishes to try. Be creative, take care of your body, and enjoy!
