General Information

Do you desire a deeper, more intimate relationship with God? Are you triggered by some people but others aren’t?  Or maybe inside you feel like a fake or failure?  Where is the “spiritual leader” you felt called to be in all this? Perhaps you’re feeling all kinds of things you’ve never felt before!

Pastor Peter Scazzero found himself in a mess of self-doubt and uncontrolled emotions. He and his wife were drifting apart, his church split when the associate pastor took a couple of hundred people to start a new church – but didn’t mention it to Pete! All this led Peter & his wife Jerri into deep introspection and challenging growth.  He came to realize that “It’s not possible to be spiritually mature while remaining emotionally immature.” This is the premise of the 2-part Spiritually Healthy Discipleship program: Emotionally Healthy Spirituality  and Emotionally Healthy Relationships.

The Emotionally Healthy Spirituality course is an invitation to bring yourself – all of your self – into a process of healing with a group of other people seeking a Jesus-centered way to release the emotional baggage that won’t seem to go away and create a path forward to freedom and healthy, healing maturity.

But let’s break it down a little bit. If this sounds like you, Emotionally Healthy Spirituality can help:

  • You struggle to slow down and be with Jesus.
  • You pretend to be something on the outside that feels fake on the inside.
  • You don’t really have a handle on your emotions (if you’re not sure, this is you!).
  • You know deep down some self-awareness is lacking.
  • You do everything in your power to avoid sadness, grief, anger, and other difficult emotions.

Emotionally Healthy Spirituality is all about introducing people to a transformative spirituality with God, where you no longer are afraid of your feelings, nor do you ignore them, nor do they run your life – directly or indirectly. It will give you the tools to deal with the issues above.

Some outcomes you can expect are:

  • Knowing and becoming your authentic self in Christ
  • Discovering how your family of origin affects you today
  • Finding your way through “walls” to grow into maturity
  • Enlarging your soul through embracing grief and loss
  • Integrating silence and Sabbath to slow down for Jesus
  • Learning how to grow into an emotionally healthy adult
  • Designing a lifelong plan to live in God’s love

You will gain all this in the company of others walking similar roads and seeking to grow into a deeper more joyful relationship with Jesus.
