Jon and Kristyn served in a “mega church” in Williamsburg, Virginia for 10 years before moving to Brussels, Belgium to help plant “micro churches” as part of a Communitas International project, The Well. In 2015, Jon returned to the States to apply the lessons they learned about adapting the church to post-Christendom, initially as Lead Pastor of Ecclesia Hollywood and now as Communitas’ Chief Strategy Officer. Jon and Kristyn celebrated 21 years of marriage in 2023 alongside their children, Addy (17) and Jax (15). Jon is a graduate of The College of William and Mary in Virginia (B.S. 1997) and Trinity International University (M.Div. 2002). The Ritner’s favorite mission fields in town are Children’s Hospital LA where Kristyn volunteers, their local schools, parks and gyms, and their favorite local pub, Over/Under Public House.
