Douglas came to Europe from the USA in 1989 to work with Euraisa Teen Challenge and met Anna-Karin in Sweden. Since then, they have been working with missional projects and developing faith-based communities in Germany, Romania, and Sweden with different organizations. In 2005 they were employed with Churches of God General Conference in the USA and from 2011 were affiliate team members with Communitas. In 2019 Douglas joined the Communitas Global Mobilization team and in 2020 transitioned to Communitas and is an affiliate with CGGC Global Reach.
Douglas and Anna-Karin have three grown children and live in Gothenburg, Sweden
