Our ministry has included lots of stops around the United States, from Arkansas to Alaska! In addition to my work in HR for Communitas, I have been an associate pastor and pastor over the past four decades. Working with Communitas is a joy because I have the opportunity to use my HR skills as well as the varied skills and experiences from pastoral ministry. Now, Teresa and I are on a new journey as we will be setting up a member care center in beautiful Mountain View, Arkansas. Why member care…why now? Over our years of pastoral ministry we have noticed that pastors do a lot of caring for others, but rarely receive care that is customized for their unique needs. Another thing we have noticed is that in many cases, ministry singles or couples really need place to go where they can plan for rest and renewal. We are creating a place where people in ministry can ‘come away for a while’ and look out over their lives to see God’s handiwork and fingerprints actively working for them. This is a ministry dream recently given to Bill and Teresa and we are working as diligently as possible to turn it into reality.
In the world of HR or Human Resources, Bill continues to work with global teams to support and care for staff at all stages of their ministry journey with Communitas. Bill has recently joined the Staff Care and Development Team to be available to provide pastoral care for staff members. Bill says, ‘I love to serve those who serve.’
