Geoff Rinehart Named Communitas President
Rinehart will be the organization’s fourth president in its 51 year history
Communitas International announced this week that Geoff Rinehart will immediately become President of the organization.
Rinehart will become the fourth President of Communitas International (formerly Christian Associates) replacing Dudley Callison who led the organization from 2013 to 2017. Geoff, who has led the North American team for five years, will lead the missional church planting organization that started its first church near Geneva, Switzerland in 1980, and currently operates in 27 countries.
In outlining his vision for Communitas, Rinehart stated, “I am passionate about engaging in the practice of organic movements of the Holy Spirit and seeing this played out in local contexts… I want to focus on creating strategic partnerships and developing new sources of funding and continue to build us into a Kingdom movement that we will be proud to pass on to the generations that follow us.”
Alan Hirsch, long-time friend of Communitas, stated, “I’m excited to hear that Geoff is to take leadership of Communitas going forward. I have always believed that Communitas has a distinctive calling among the nations. I wish Geoff and the team all the best in pursuing that calling.”
